Episode Five - Gray Matter

Jesse runs into his friend Badger after applying for a job with a bank. They discuss partnering up in the meth business. Walt and Skyler attend a birthday party for Elliott, Walt's friend from graduate school and former business partner. Elliott has made a lot of money from the company that Walt started with him. After hearing the news of Walt's cancer from Skyler, he offers Walt a job. Walt is angry with Skyler for revealing his illness; he is against accepting anything from Elliott. Walt's family holds a pseudo-intervention and tries to get him to go for chemotherapy treatment. Gretchen, Elliott's wife and Walt's former partner, calls Walt and offers him money for his treatment. She says afterall, half of the money belongs to him for the work he did with the company. Walt approaches Jesse about cooking another batch of meth.
